To train employees from industry and commerce, the principles of First Aid as laid down by the Health & Safety (First Aid) regulations of 1981.
To satisfy by theoretical and practical examinations, candidate's competence on First Aid in accordance with HSE approved guidelines as detailed in the 1981 regulations.

The certificate must still be within the 3 year period from date of issue (still valid) before the last day of the course. If the certificate has expired by even one day, then the candidate would need to sit the full 4 day course again.
